About
51 offices. One governor each. Your logo runs the state until a bigger cheque takes office.
Live right now
These numbers are not loading right now, so the dashes above are missing values and not zeroes. The page keeps trying every fifteen seconds.
Three things you can be
Every state carries its real electoral votes, 538 in total. That is what makes California worth more than Wyoming without us pricing them differently, and it is a counting rule Americans already know.
Governor. Hold one state. Your logo runs it.
Candidate. Hold 27 electoral votes, five percent of the college: one of
the four biggest states, or two or three middling ones. You go on the ballot at
the top of the page.
President. Hold 270. The banner at the top of the site becomes yours.
The page always shows what the cheapest route to 270 would cost right now, worked out exactly rather than guessed. Buying that route in one payment is not live yet; for now you take the states one at a time.
What this is
A map of the United States with 51 seats on it: the 50 states and DC. Each seat has one owner at a time. The fifty states each get a governor, which is the real title. DC gets a mayor, because a federal district does not have a governor and we are not going to pretend otherwise. You pay $1 to take an open one, and anyone can take it from you for $1 more than you paid. Your logo sits on the state until they do.
There is no voting, no algorithm and no editorial. The ranking is the money, and that is the whole product.
What you get
Your logo on the state, your name and link on the leaderboard, and a line in
the live feed every time you take a seat. Outbound links carry
rel="sponsored nofollow": you are buying attention from people, not
link equity from a crawler.
What you do not get
Time. You are buying a seat, not a term. Somebody can take the crown an hour later. What you keep is your place on that state's board: your link stays live and your name stays ranked, you just stop being the one on the map.
Who built it
Credit where it is due
The idea is not ours. outbid.lol is a public board where money is the only rank. memleket.lol puts that on a map, where the seats are finite and people already care which one is theirs. Both are good, and we took from both.
